In march of this year, I went with my brother to Temuco for a week. It wasn't the best vacation, but it was the most funny that I’ve ever had.

When we were there we stayed in a hotel near the center of the city, also we had a supermarket near to. There we bought food and toiletries, like toothbrushes and toothpaste. We didn't buy soap and shampoo because the hotel gave us these things.

Before, I said that it wasn't the best trip, because days after we arrived in Temuco, the quarantine began and many places that we wanted to visit were closed. like museums, handcrafting stores.

One day we tried to visit a native house called “Ruca''. We took an Uber and we started our journey, we didn’t know that it would turn into an odyssey. When we arrived at the “ruca” it was closed, we thought it was closed because we came early but we were wrong, it was closed because the quarantine had begun and we didn't know that!. In the hotel room we hadn't local channels so we didn't see the news. The day became more and more exciting.

After realizing that the “ruca” was closed we tried to take an Uber but we were very far from the city and there was no Uber around. We walked through the road for hours to be closer from the city and be able to take an Uber or a Bus.

We didn't want that to be a bad day so we tried to go to “cerro Ñielol”. We took a bus to the center and then we walked to the hill. even though we didn't find rangers nearby in the entry, we decided to go anyway. We walked through the hill all afternoon. When we were descending the hill we find a couple of rangers and they said:” you can´t be here, the hill is closed because of the quarantine, you need to leave now” we told them that we didn't find any ranger in the entry and that we were leaving

In Temuco we couldn't visit many places but each day was an adventure trying to find any places open to take a look.
